Left Unsaid
Film Overview
Logline: When two young co-parents meet to trade-off their daughter, nostalgic feelings flair.
This film is the first of several films by Jon Vaude seeking to explore the struggles of relational regret, grief, and anxiety.
The Heart Behind the Film - Director's Statement
I wanted to write a story that felt not only true-to-life but intimate -- that tapped into the ebb-and-flow of yearning for someone and something -- and felt as nostalgic as two young, former lovers – Myles & Precious – who never quite got it right but share a child.
In my adolescent days, I was that child. Too young to know any different when my parents split, but old enough to fondly recall being picked up on Friday nights and dropped off on Sunday afternoons at my grandma's church.
Left Unsaid is also inspired by my life, in that sense.
This film dances between humor, drama, and romantic tones. This was rooted in a desire to communicate the essence of the couple’s relationship, both in the past and in the present, showcasing the duality that can exist with those we love.
While the story is special to me because I’ve lived it, my goal is that folks walk away reminded of what it can cost us when we don’t say what’s on our hearts.
Who’s Haunting Who?
Film Overview
Logline: After running a phony contest to prove ghosts are real, the host of an indie investigative series must confront the paranormal when a deranged fan’s house proves to be actually haunted.
This film was co-written by myself and a friend, Adam Fallah, who directed the project.
What is Who’s Haunting Who?
Who’s Haunting Who? is a horror-comedy that mixes paranormal entities and the insatiable need for online virality by an egotistical host and the reluctant film crew he drags along for the ride.
